Evelyn Benimana

This my final year 2021 at Jill Bahram TVET school, I am pursuing a course in Tourism.

I was born with a respiratory condition that put my single mother under immense financial pressure.

Often there is a financial crisis at home due to my medical needs yet am not the only child.  Due to the pressures of work and family my mother developed heart complications and wasn’t able to go back to work. This caused the world around me to collapse and I was completely lost.

In 2019 I got word of the Cyizere Girls Scholarship being offered at Jill Barham TVET School and I applied for it. Not only did I qualify for the Scholarship once but twice for my S5 and S6. My mother’s prayers were answered for we received a blessing in full. Lying on the Hospital bed I shared with her the news and the smile across her face is one I can never forget.

I will always be grateful for the transparency, fair and equal treatment all the Scholarship beneficiaries are treated with. The scholastic and personal materials I receive are usually beyond my expectations, it is then that I know there is a God; who knows my name and my needs.

“I am a child of GOD!”
