A Ray of Hope

Each year Cyizere girls strives to increase its impact on more girls.. It was a great joy to know that we have changed the lives of 25 beneficiaries who completed their academic year in June 2021 under the Cyizere scholarship. And as we ushered in a new academic year In October 2021, another group of 36 girls were awarded scholarships. These scholarships cover tuition and boarding fees, scholastic materials, welfare materials and internship fees. We have now extended the scholarships to Bweyeye located right in the middle of the nationally protected Nyungwe Forest. This is an area with very high poverty levels and girls from Byeyeye are often at a greater risk of early pregnancies and early marriages. By awarding them scholarships and keeping them in school, they have a better chance to exploit their capabilities and make informed life.
